Our camp started humbly enough, in 2005, with just 75 children. Now, 19 years later, over the course of two days, we’re able to give over 450 children and their families a great day at the beach. A day where they can feel ‘normal’ and enjoy the enormous calming power of the sea. We’re always trying to incorporate more...more kids, more things to do on the beach, more exposure for this great event and this great cause, advocating for our autism community – To that point, in 2015, The Surfers Healing Virginia Beach Camp became the first camp in the Mid-Atlantic to host a two-day event, doubling our attendance to over 450 kids
